What You Seek Is Seeking You
The idea came from a phrase the writer Yasser Hareb said to the artist in a conversation about ambition. "What you seek" is written from top to bottom and "is seeking you" from bottom to top, the ʿayn of one placed inside the ʿayn of the other so the phrases meet. The dots of the bāʾ in both verbs are joined by a fine line reaching beyond the composition, like an instrument searching past the edge of the work.
