Mahmood Al Abadi designed the forum's logo and visual identity, and designed and art-directed its publications and the book of the accompanying calligraphy exhibition. He curated the exhibition "The Rapture of the Reed and Hymns of Peace", selecting texts from the Holy Qur'an, the Prophetic Sunnah and Arabic literature and commissioning participating artists to execute them.

He also took part with three calligraphic works. The forum was held at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, and the project brought artwork, design and cultural curation together under a single theme.
